Victorias breaks ground for 4 projects worth P17M

Mayor Javier Miguel Benitez led the groundbreaking rites for four projects worth P17 million in Victorias City on Tuesday, November 22.

The four projects are for the improvement of the Victorias Transport Terminal, Bahay Pag-asa Youth Center, and Senior Citizen and Sangguniang Kabataan pavilions, a press release from Victorias City said.

The city government allocated P1.5 million for the improvement of the transport terminal and P964,803 for the terminal comfort room repair.

It also set P2 million for the construction of a multipurpose hall and basketball court at the Bahay Pag-asa Youth Center in Barangay XIV, the press release said.

A total of P7.2 million was allocated for the improvement of the Senior Citizen Pavilion located in the Victorias City public plaza, and P5.8 million for the improvement of the SK Pavilion.

Benitez was joined by Vice Mayor Abelardo Bantug III, the city councilors, City Administrator Lindolf De Castro, department heads, barangays captains, beneficiaries, and project implementers at the groundbreaking rites.*
